Jimbo the clowns' chain goes up and down, up and down, up and down. Jimbo the clowns chain goes up and down... and stays down this time.

I've got a kid now and we aren't shopping there at all. Too expensive.

Children’s Place is great when they offer free shipping on their clearance items. I never visit Gymboree.

It's too bad. I have gone there whenever I'm at the mall (not very often - maybe once a month?). The clothes have more detail on it (embroidery, ribbons, Jewel's and cute designs) but obviously you're paying for it if you get it at full price. I rarely buy anything at full price. But I found great finds in the clearance section $15 or less for knitted sweaters. $25 for a fireman spring coat. Basically better quality (thicker material) than what you'd find at The Children's place. I found wonderful wedge sandals for girls (price was $25!) that I could never find at any other store.
It's true that it couldn't compete when Children's place has free shipping and cheap $4 t-shirts, pants
I only went to gymboree for unique quality items. It's too bad. Less choices for us.
Good luck to all the staff who are losing their jobs.
