It never left. H1N1 is a variant.

It's 2003 all over again. Toronto is be how it do.???????????
2003 was SARS, not a flu variant. H1N1 pandemic was last here in 2009. This year's flu shot covers H1N1 very well.

It never left? It never came, more fear mongering over non-existant "epidemics", meanwhile in 1987, or 1991 or 2000 more people died from the flu than from the 2003 SARS epidemic or the H1N1 "epidemic".

it's been a brutal cold season.

My mom has been sick for like a week and a half.

I left work early this past Monday, and was bed ridden until Thursday with extreme body soreness and a cough.

Still not 100% yet. Have a slight cough still.

A lot of people where I work have been calling in sick.

Be careful out there guys. I'm one of those people that says " I never get sick! maybe a sore throat once a year!" and isn't lying.

I haven't been this sick since I was a little kid. Whatever hit me, was brutal.

Really? I haven't noticed.

My office is totally fine.
Many ppl from my office get flu shots every year though (nope, not a hospital, we are a software company).

yeah, it has been, I read a story on city news, or somewhere last week, can't remember where, that the flu season is "just getting started" now and that the numbers are trending to be higher this year for ER visits by people sick with the flu and overall missed days from work.

Well, consider getting flu shots every year?

I haven't had a flu since I started getting them. Colds, yes, but no flu.

I didn't have the flu but got the shot this year. I literally charted the course of myself getting sick after I got it. 6 hours after the injection I was getting the beginnings of a sore throat, followed by the full course of the disease. I get the feeling that the quality control in these shots isn't that great and that some of them contain virus that isn't completely dead.
Could HAVE, not could OF. What does 'could of' even mean?

You can't get the flu from a flu shot, it doesn't contain a living virus. It takes almost a month for the vaccine to completely take effect, so if you are exposed to the flu right after the shot, then you could develop flu. I get the shot every year. My eldest son skipped last year and was the only one in the family to be really sick with anything close to the flu. He made sure to go with the rest of the family this year when we got immunized, lol.
