Considering the current exchange rate, some of those prices are lower than in the U.S.
True, the sides and gyro seem reasonably priced. But I'm guessing most people go to HG for the platters? It's a decent filling meal but not sure I'd want to pay $12.49+tax for it.

Yep. Lots of cheap and delicious restaurants in the city. (Not looking at you, Paramount Fine Foods.)

Only thing I eat is the combo.... Extra 20 percent for us Canadians eh! Booooo.
We're all bozos on the bus until we find a way to express ourselves...

Failure is always an option...just not the preferred one!

Nah, just passed by after having already eaten. But there were lots of people coming out with bags of food.

The $12.50 pricing immediately puts me off. That's a little higher than many other lunch restaurants near Yonge/Wellesley.

Had it yesterday, it was good but hard to compare to memories of eating it late at night on the street in manhattan after waiting in line for it. I feel like the meat was better on the cart because it sits on the plancha and gets these crispy carmelized bits on it. I also felt the meat portion was pretty stingy here.

I also hate that they sauce it for you and you don't sauce it yourself like the cart.

I might go back but more likely I'll make my own version at home.

Lol @ all the losers waiting in the rain, when they could have just gone last Saturday or wait a week until the hype dies down.
