Yeah that's a pretty good price, and a good model.
I would not buy the new dremel they came out with. It's crap compared to this one

This is a great model. I bought a used one 5 years ago off of ebay, and after 5 years of punishment it just this last weekend it gave out on me. Definitely a solid unit, I just ordered one.

Damnit... I have no money but I ordered one anyway. I've always wanted a Dremel and I could never fool myself into settling for a Mastercraft.

I'm tempted in getting this but what do we actually use this for? I mean, I heard, this would be handy if your doing various mods i.e, to your computer case etc...but any other things?

If this thing is anywhere near as handy as the Dremel Contour Sander I just bought, I'll be a happy man.
Thanks OP.
Nice buy._______________

I pulled the trigger on this one - been thinking about getting a dremel for awhile, at this price, why buy imitators?

Wish it had the flex shaft. As it is, I like the JobMate for $14 better._______________

Yeah, the Mastercraft kit, also comes with the flex shaft which is essential if you're doing detailed and intricate work

Keep lots of cutoff discs (the heavy duty ones, the light ones break too easily) and grinding/sanding attachments around, and you wouldn't believe the uses you come up with for these things.
Edit: I own the mastercraft unit too with the flex shaft, I leave it on my bench and use the dremel as a portable unit. I prefer the dremel though by a wide margin because the bits are so much easier to change.Last edited by Bazooka Joe; May 29th, 2006 at 09:34 AM.

Leave the delicate work and playing with shafts to the women. :P
