This. I think some of the people here are just hopping on the "omg they're gouging us" wagon and being negative and unreasonable just for the hell of it. Where and when has a 1TB external been listed for 49.99? I want another external but I don't mind waiting for a bit longer to get one for a good price.

NCIX and CC were selling 1TB Seagate Drives on last Black Friday for $50. The 3TB for $80 sold out quickly, and people like me who didn't pick up the 1TB drive then are hoping they will be on sale for that price again this Boxing Day

These price errors aren't real sale prices, I'm asking for the last time a real 2.5" 1TB external came up for under $70.

Those are clearance prices, not price errors.

You do realize that those threads pretty much tell you why people call it stOOpleS (OOS = out of stock).

I think on all the threads listed, less than 10 Hard drives were claimed as being received/bought by members.

In Feb. 2011, I bought a Hitachi 2TB drive for $60 (after MIR) shipped from Newegg. My WD 1TB external I got from Best Buy before that for well under $100 (been so long I think it was $79 or so).

So there's no portable hard drive deals I take it? I was looking for 2-3 TB for under $100.

BB/FS has them as "door crashers" for $20 off or so. I don't think they know what a 'door crasher' is.

Just curious what was the best price you ever saw a WD 3TB external go for? Cause I've been monitoring their prices for years and the cheapest i ever seen it was on amazon for 109.99 back in 2010. I figured 119.99 wasnt too bad. i have 4 so far and they are extreamly quiet and very relaible
