Has Anyone eaten at the new Spring Roll Restaurant at 45 Eglinton?
I think the grand opening was on Aug 15. Does it compare to Young Thailand in taste, quantity, etc. Any dishes to suggest ordering.
They were handing out free cards last week to get a free shrimp rolls appetizer with $20 dine in order.
thx

Is this the same Spring Rolls as Yonge/Bloor, Yonge/Dundas?
Is it Eglinton East or West? I'm guessing East?

Yes they are like a mc donalds now.
They took over Hooters spot, some one mentioned that spot is jinxed though.
I used to go all the time when they were small but since they have expanded not getting my money but from as far as i remember its way better than that crap they sell at Salad King.

the fruit shakes are good.
you can make them at home:
lots of ice + plus fruit= mix in blender
vanilla ice cream is optional

The Springrolls across Eaton Centre sucks. We got charged 15% tip and the service was ****. The food isn't anything special, and its just crappy chinese food for non-chinese people. Its over-hyped. At first i thought it was a good restaurant to go too, but they put so much into details of the store to help bring up the suckiness of the food.

Only the ones who think they are Caucasian.

What intersection is this new one at? Eglinton and ?
I personally like springrolls, been to the one by eaton centre and the one on front. I prefer the front street location for the food quality and taste.
I wouldn'd mind checking out the new one.

I ate at the Yonge/Bloor Spring Rolls a few weeks ago. Not only was the lettuce unwashed, but one of the red pepper chunks in my noodles still had the grocery store sticker on it. Yuck.

spring rolls?
learn how to eat AUTHENTIC Chinese food.
sometimes it's really sad to see restaurants that don't offer really good food that entices people who don't know much about Chinese food to think it's AUTHENTIC food. =(
people think that's good food and then overpay, and flourish these restaurants that really shouldn't be flourishing at all.
unfortunately, it's disapointting that most people go to these places that are over-hyped and over-marketed by people who don't know much about food.
I'm all for FUSION food....but spring rolls? meh......go to Susur Lee if you want FUSION Chinese.Last edited by gillianchung; Aug 21st, 2005 at 11:39 PM.

Aug 29th, 2005 05:55 PM #14Well, considering that it's at 45 Eglinton, it'll be just several steps away from Yonge Str.
