^ hard to imagine people paid $600 for a 20GB model back in 2006-2007! couple of games and it's all filled up...and sizable HDD replacements aint that cheap these days...probably better just to go with 60-120GB SSD or something. I'm no better buying a 80GB B/C SKU for that price though in late 2007.
Exactly my sentiment. I barely play ps3 games anymore but my library is still slowly expanding due to sales which also means my backlog is getting bigger...i do watch blu-rays on a weekly basis though

That's exactly why people shouldn't get rid of their current consoles. Who wants to shell out the initial $800-$1000 for the next gen console on release day? Especially when you know it'll drop in price in a couple of years with an even better hardware revision/upgrade. As long as there's still multiplayer gamers for my FPS games and no charge for PSN, I'll be keeping my PS3 going for awhile.

I probably will keep my PS3 until the eventual PS4 drops price to $299 in a couple years, I cannot justify paying ~$600 for new a console. I bought my first PS3 (60GB original) for $120 used in Spring 2011. I really hope the online community for PS3 will be strong for atleast 1-2 years after the PS4 release.

Not anytime soon, and probably not until the next generation comes out. I've got a bunch of backlog games to finish, which I hope to get to eventually. Plus, with what you'd get for it in return, you're better off just holding on to it anyway.

I'm the same way as Sandikosk, I've only used my PS3 for movies as of late and haven't play a single game in about 2mths. Once I do play and get sucked into a game I will play for about 1-2hrs a night... it's been awhile though.
I don't bother selling anything... I just give my consoles away to family or friends. I gave away my collection of Xbox1 games to early this summer... hopefully some kid will have some fun with it.

I used to always sell my old consoles when the new ones came out but I stopped that after the N64. Sadly, I got rid of my SNES to make room for the N64 and that's the largest regret. I'm having nostalgia symptoms that an emulator just can't fix.
As for this gen, I only have a Wii and PS3 and can't find myself trading/selling them. I contemplated selling the Wii but I just can't bing myself to it even though it hasn't been touched in well over a year...
