I've been there. It's OK, but the Kimi Ryokan, a much nicer and more traditionally Japanese establishment, is a better value and only marginaly further away from the station.

Has anyone tried this place in Tokyo?
Hi everyone,
Has anyone tried the Tokyo House Ikebukuro? There's 5 of us visiting Tokyo in May and their prices and pictures on their website (http://www.housejp.com.tw/englishindex.htm) are very attractive. We like the fact that they have private suite for 5 people with no curfew. Hope I can get some feedback about this place. Our main question is whether it's clean and safe.
Thanks.

Oh, and the area is very safe. There is a police box very close by that is manned 24/7.
