Has anyone won $$ from NCIX.com thru RFD?
Last month, January 16th, Ryan sent me an email saying I won $100 from NCIX about the wishlist sweepstakes back on Boxing Week. I filled out my personal information, answer to skill-testing question, but so far it's been a month, and I haven't received anything yet.
I sent Ryan a few messages asking him how long it'll take through PM but I guess I wasn't important considering the job he does around the forums.
I'm sure some of you here have experience winning sweepstake prizes, so anyone able to tell me about how long it takes for NCIX to snail mail me the gift card?

I also won and I also haven't received anything as of yet.
Ryan responded to me and told me that NCIX has been pretty slow about releasing the money.
So it seems NCIX dropped the ball.
In all reality though, we should be thankful, it's a free $100 for us doing nothing.
I hope it comes soon though, I wanted to take advantage of their valentines sale. I want one of those PCI wireless network cards for $29.98
I'm thankful and all, but I sent NCIX an e-mail a while ago and if they don't either release the money or at least get back to me before their sale ends, I will be very disappointed in them and probably won't spend a dime on their products, except for the $100 gift certificate I won.
Whether it's winnings or not, customer service is still important to retain customers._______________

Feb 12th, 2006 06:31 PM #7Ryan told me he's been chasing after them, but they have to wait for someone to release the money. I doubt it's Ryan's fault. From reading past threads on RFD, it sounds like NCIX doesn't really pay much attention to customer service, so this is probably just another example.

Well, it's not like I'm wanting to blame someone for where my $100 is, it's just that I'm concerned about where they actually are. I'm glad that Ryan is following it up for us, because I've PMed him a few times, and he never answered, where read receipts said he DID read my PMs.

i bothered ryan with 2 PMs requesting an update and he's been a class act and very patient. let's give NCIX time to sort it out and contact us. it's just a nice feeling winning "anything" so i was happy just receiving my "You've Won!" message -- good way to finish off our boxing day craziness.
congrats to all the winners...we should pool it together for a laptop

Yea, it was a good feeling getting that PM too :P But I mean, once you win, you win - NCIX is obligated to give us what we won, or at least they should under whatever contract that they signed with RFD (I HOPE that there was a contract involved..)

Just got this from Ryan forwarded from NCIX:
"Hello - unfortunately due to a complication in our internal system, we are experiencing a delay in having your prize gift card mailed out to you. The invoice has been created, which you can use as reference, and we hope to have the matter cleared up in 1-2 weeks. The issue is that in making the cards free of charge, it also affects the amount of credit on the card, so we must adjust it so that no fee is paid but the card still has the correct amount. We sincerely apologize for the delay, and assure you that all gift cards will be sent out as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding, and for your interest in NCIX.com!"

I finally got someone from NCIX to respond to my e-mail, although I needed some help from Ryan for that to happen. Thank god for his help or NCIX would have probably continued to ignore me.
It looks like I will be able to get the ASUS wireless network card for the sale price once the gift cards are released, even though it won't still be on sale when that happens. The same applies to anything that's on sale right now. So for those of you who also won, we're not missing out on the current NCIX sale, we can still get the sale prices once we get the money._______________
