HD Image Utility: Recommendations?
I'd like to get something free, that works well. I have a dualboot XP/2000 install, and plan to load up the XP partition images via 2000 when recovering.
Please recommend utilities (that you can personally vouch for)!

I dumped Norton Ghost a while ago and moved to Acronis True Image. I've had nothing but scccess with it. It's the best disk imaging utility I've ever used, and it's based on Linux, too
I don't think I've ever had it crash on me, or given me a corrupt image.

It is a good freeware utility but only works with Windows 95/98/ME. You are probably thinking of XXClone which works with Windows NT/2K/XP. These are both excellent products but they are really designed for copying the contents of a partition to another drive, partition, etc.

You've gotta spend a little to get something worth while LOL... but I recommend Norton Ghost. I've been using it for over three years now and it's been the most reliable imaging software I've used.

eh?
How can a piece of software be based on an OS? Especially if it is running in Windows? Maybe it was developed on Linux?
