Check your volume settings. It's possible you accidentally muted something.
Edit: Ok, after reading that a second time, I have no no clue what he's trying to say...Last edited by Codegen; Apr 1st, 2007 at 10:22 AM.

i thin he is saying that he hears the radio coming through his speakers when they are not turned on.
It is a pretty common thing with telephones when people live right by a radio station.

It's a weird issue but I have heard it happen before. The most likely cause is that a broadcast tower is too close to your house resulting in your speakers picking up on that signal.
My suggestion would be to try and find the source of that signal, perhaps check out the local radio stations in your area and find out where the signal is coming from, then contact the broadcast engineer at that station because in these situations they are obligated to investigate and fix these kind of issues.

we have a CFRB1010 transmitter a couple of km away and get interference on a somewhat regular basis on a couple of telephones and a set of old logitech computer speakers.

the same thing happened to a set of unused speakers of mine, one day i decided to lick the plug (don't ask me why), and when i did it i heard the radio, also when i touch it i hear it as well but not as clear as when i licked it...weird cuz they weren't even plugged in at all, no source, no power just speakers
