Help: Battery drain during hibernation/sleep mode for notebooks on Vista
I have a Sony Vaio and I have encountered the same problem. The MS hotfix is of no use but I will be restoring to the earliest image that I have later and see if it will work.
Have any of you encountered the same problem? So far, if I unplug the AC power before hibernation, all is fine. The culprit is the High Definition Audio Controller.

I've already disabled auto wakeup devices.
Thanks for any suggestions or advice. Even people on Notebookforum are clueless as to how to fix the issues with Vista. The hotfix in the link provided solved the issue for some but I don't understand why mine still drains the battery significantly.
