you could always touch up the drilled holes with some plaster and paint if you decide to rearrange

Help Hanging Things on Wall
I need a way to hang picture frames on my wall without permanently damaging the wall.
I've got several picture frames to hang up on my wall but dont want to start drilling holes in the wall because I might decide to rearrange them after a while.
Any suggestions?

3m sells a variety of removable hooks that you can use to hang frames. i don't know how reliable these hooks are, especially after an extended period of time. nails are probably the best way to go.
it's a good idea to lay out your frames on the floor first and decide how you want to arrange them before you put any nails in your walls. if you want to be very precise, use masking tape to create a grid on your wall. create another grid with masking tape on the floor, or an empty table and arrange your frames on the grid. map the measurements onto the grid you made on your wall, then you will know exactly where to place your nails.

go ahead and drill and hang what you want. when you dont want it up anymore, take it down and do a little drywall repair not hard to do at all. and can do wonders too. you will never know there were existing holes in there after a little drywall puddy, tape, a little sanding and some paint

3M Command Adhesive Products
These are great for what you want to do. They are relatively expensive but can be reused by buying new adhesive strips. They come in 3 styles so make sure you choose the appropriate one for your type of pictures.
