Help with importing a 2013 model. Not on Transport Canada list yet

Hello,

I was planning on importing an 2013 Infiniti JX from the United States, called RIV they said I cannot as it is not included in the list from Transport Canada. (last updated on Aug 1, 2012)

Any suggestions or past experience with importing vehicles not on the list for Transport Canada?

As it sits now it's not legal for import. Maybe by the time they update the list (next month or two?) Then it might be legal for road import to Canada.

Not all dealers. I find the closer to Canada they are the more likely they are to refuse . From experience Land Rover and VW/Audi further south have no issues

Did you have to buy the Recall clearance letter from LandRover? Can you tell me how much it cost?

Certain manufacturers don't care. I checked with Infiniti last year and they were fine selling to Canadians but they don't get any program money.
On a JX that probably wouldn't matter.
