HELP! Insert boot device error
Hi Guys,
Trying to help a friend out
He's still using a P4 and found a P4 3.0ghz which is higher than the one he's using now. The heatsink on his currently Mobo is broken so since the new cpu he's trying to use is on the exact same motherboard he's planning to just switch the enitre motherboard.
After he hooked everything back up with the new board he boots it up and it gives a message " Insert boot device"
In theory shouldn't this work without an error messages?

Just make sure you connect the HD to the right IDE/SATA port.
Then go to the BIOS and confirm that the HD is on the right port. Ive had that happen lots of time. You just need to configure the right port on the BIOS.
