I'm thinking of building a little system for myself. Right now I've got an iBook and a G3/300 desktop. I'm getting fed up with apple and want to give windows XP a try.

I've been looking at the following components:
Asus P5P800-MX i865GV mATX Mobo
Intel Celeron D 336 2.8GHz processor
512 megs ram

So far the total is $194 before tax.

I've already got a hard drive and dvd burner that I will install in this machine. I'm not a heavy gamer or anything, my G4/1ghz ibook has enough power for just about anything I need to do. I'm mainly looking for advice, I want something I can use to backup my dvd's and playback video files.

I'm also open to cheap used/refurbed machines too! infact I'd love one!
