Help me decide between these 2 deals - Canon Sx130is vs Samsung WB600

I'm looking to buy a new camera for my wife and was looking for something with a nice zoom (8X +) and good indoor picture quality. I want something simple and came across these 2 deals:

Best buy has the Samsung WB600 for 199$

Sears has the Canon Sx130is for 179$

Which one would you recommend and why?

Neither. Camera life on the Sx130is sucks big time!

Go for the Nikon P100. Seriously. Way better pictures way more zoom.

Thanks for the reply but the P100 is not exactly what I'm looking for. It's probably too big and too complicated for my wife... Also it seems a lot more expensive!

well is 8x a must in your camera? Is video important? Just go with the Sx120IS. The battery life in that is better.. or just downrade and just get a Canon Sd1400IS (shoots HD video). You can probably get a memory card with it and it will probably come out to the same as the SX120IS without one.
