Help me with the grub problem

Over the last 3 years I have watched my lawn get torn apart by raccoons and skunks and it's gotten really bad. I plan on applying soil and overseeding the lawn soon but I don't think it's wise to take this step until I have the grub problem under control. I tried nematodes last year and it didn't do a damn thing. Should I wait til early summer for the critters to stop tearing up my lawn before reseeding or is it ok to apply top soil and seed now while it is raining?

There's a lot of existing threads here that contain a lot of good information but basically nematodes are only 40-50% effective you will need to apply over a couple of years if it's a bad grub infestation. You can't control what happens to you lawn until you control the grubs so I would wait until the late Summer/Fall for soil and seed and look to apply an grub insecticide (like Grubex) in the Summer.
