There's too many to choose from!
This would be my pick, Simple and easy to read; It's based on preference though.. If you like an eye catching/flashy logo or a easy/simple reading logo etc..

I'm all over #97
second place #63
97 will lend itself nicely to any business correspondence in 1 or 2 color.
I'd place the logo next to the type instead of above it.

I can make a logo no problem but the idea of having 200 well thought of logos and then just to pick the best seems so much better.

This is a solid way to go, just make sure you get the proper files.
That being said, a growing percentage of logos these days are actually just font's - so if you're going that route, save your cash._______________

Half of them look like this...

I assume you are selling gel soles for running shoes?
I don't particularly like any of them, but this is probably the cleanest one. It might be a little too sharp though, but if you are selling office furnature, maybe I guess? Probably wouldn't be any good if you were selling wood furniture though, or maybe it would, I don't know.

Why not ask whoever made this one, to make the circle symbolic of the actual company rather than an abstract symbol which will probably get thrown away somewhere down the line anyways.
The text on it's own is good enough, but if the circle was actually an N or a Gen or something that was memorable, maybe it would be better? Or even standalone as an insignia?
Actually that's almost exactly the same as the one earlier in this thread, only the one earlier, looks like a scribbled small 'n' inside a big 'G'. So it is almost there. The one I picked, I can't see the N or the G, it might be really difficult for most people to pick it out, or remember it, I don't know. IN any event, that designer is probably the best one of the bunch maybe?
Close the contest, and hire them.
One more thing... NextGen is a fairly common concept. What makes you certain you can trademark the company name "NextGen".
http://nextgen.com/About-Nextgen/About.aspx - These guys claim a 1,500+ employees and growing. They are USA, so I don't if it makes a difference or not.

I like this one...

Credit to us if you like it ;P... it will work well with black and white and IMO has a good + - spatial balance. We only spent 20 secs on it thus the reason the top of the N is a little chopped
Cheers,
