seal any crevices or holes where the rodents are , use steel wool to fill up the area , the wool will cut their tongues which prevents them from knawing in . If u are a tenant , report this to ur landlord or health department .

Help with mice (or rat) infestation.
Hi...
Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions on getting rid of these critters? I have tried giving them rat/mouse poison.. but that doesn't seem to be working. Does anyone know of any other ways to deal with them? Maybe someone could recommend a brand of poison or something to get them or force them out.

sticky traps worked for me when i was living in an apartment years ago.
hell, some of them even come with nifty instructions on how to transport and release them back in the wild.
lol. no joke.

Hahaha... that's funny.. they say if you just release them outside... they will just come back to you... you have to "terminate" them.

Thought of that too... but I am more of a dog person... plus getting a cat or any pet for that matter presents it's own problems too... you have to feed it... clean it... etc.

I saw some of these at XScargo for about $15. I don't know how well they work, but someone mentioned them in that spider thread a while back.

go to home depot and grab the regular traps set them in places along the walls and then as bait either use kraft singles ( powdered with that ratkiller) or peanut butter.
some times the best way is the old fashion way .

Are insects/rodents a major issue in the GTA or what's the deal? I've lived in probably a dozen different places over the years and have never had any sort of problem like what you guys are having. And some of these buildings were very old.. out in the country, etc.
