i just recently purchased a new motherboard, i put it in and connected everything. i turned it on and everything powers up correctly (atleast i think it does) but nothing boots up. i can hear my hard drive running but it doesn't do anything, my cd/dvd-rom is on but when i press the eject button it doesn't open
any suggestions as to what i can do?
thanks in advance!

Any chance the new motherboard is for a Pentium4 processor? If so, did you connect the 4pin power plug specifically for the CPU?

Well, try not to hook up *everything* at once. Try the bare minimum first - CPU, RAM & Video card.

Mar 13th, 2006 03:56 PM #6You need only CPU + RAM + Video card to see the POST screen. Then you can add one thing at a time.

maybe a pin to disable onboard video or enter bios to disable on board and then install new card.
Hope that helps.

Mar 13th, 2006 04:17 PM #14You can either use the jumper (check your owner's manual) or remove/reinsert the lithium battery on the mobo.
