- I think you're supposed to use the orange slots for the RAM.
- You do need both six-pin PCI-E power connections.
Reset the CMOS?

Help~~New PC doesnt run
It's a very simple set up -- i7 920, ASUS P6T, MSI HD4870, 6GB Cosair XMS3 DDR-1600; no other accessories. Case is CoolerMaster CM690, and power supply is CoolerMaster Silent Pro 700W
I have disconnected like I1394, USB, extra SATA cables so basically now only cables needed are connected. The syndrome is:
- HD4870 in X16-no.1 with two 6pins connected (realli needed?)
- 3 DIMM Position 1-3-5 (Black ones)
- The upper-left corner of P6T has a power-input, 8 pins in total but 4 are blacked. I removed the cover and pluged 2 4-pins after the 4-pin did not work.
- It at first, CPU Fan, Video Card Fan and Case Fan for 1 to 3 second; and later after I have the 2 4-pins and move the video card from X16-2 to X16-1; it runs for maybe at least 30 seconds to minutes, I mean fans, but no screen output. NO SOUND AT ALL.
- The Indicators of Power and RESET on P6T are on
- After the system dies again, even if I press RESET, it wont reboot again
Does somebody have a clue what happends here?
Everything's new and I have no where to test everything separately.
If this is like a typical case, gimme some hints or your guesses.
Thank you!
