Help please! Samsung LED 3D TV screen turns purple and no sound!

Hi there,

I hope someone can help! I have a Samsung LED 3D TV un55d6500 and it's only i think less than a year old. The screen has started, when i change the channel, to turn purple for a few seconds and has no sound. It will then change channels. Does anyone know what this is? And any advice? I am hoping it could be something simple...

It only happens on one channel? Or any channels?

How is this connected?

By HDMI or RCA? If either one, can you try a different input and/or cables?

It happens on many channels but not every channel. I could try a better HDMI cable... I don't think mine is a great one.

Call 1-800-SAMSUNG. They can walk you though diagnostics.
I called them (for my refurb 450 series plasma) about a mis-formed base.
Within 24 hours, they had a new one at my house!
