Help! Severe red tint when connecting LCD TV via DVI
I recently tried connecting my LCD TV to my PC's video card (pny 6800gt with latest nvidia drivers) via DVI. The TV detects the signal properly, but there's a severe red tint/colour issue. Basically, everything that should be black is solid red (ie bios screens, etc..) and there's a red tint to everything. I've tried all the software settings (resolution, sending a proper 720p signal, refresh rate, etc..) and nothing's working. Also, the colours come out fine when I connect my xbox via Svideo so I don't think the TV's defective. The only thing I can think of is that because my tv's dvi port is DVI-D, my video card's port is DVI-I and I'm using a DVI-D cable that somehow the colours are getting mixed up. Is that possible?

it is either the cable or the port. i get issues once and awhile if the cable is loose. just try a different DVI cable.
