Depends on your situation but.."Generally, your return for 2006 has to be filed on or before April 30, 2007."

If you owe money, you should file before April 30th to avoid penalties. If you don't owe money, I think you have up to 5 years to file...but if you get a letter from the CRA to file your return for a given year, you must file within 30 days.

You don't have to file at all unless you will owe the government money, or the government sends you a notice requesting that you file a return. The deadline for those two situations is April 30.

Otherwise, there is no deadline.
