Four months, 12 vendors, and many sample products later, HID Canada is now open!

We've spent the last 18 weeks working with many vendors, manufacturers, and various suppliers to source the highest quality HID products. There are just too many "cheap clone" HID products out on the market. Moreover, the seller of these products often do not have the means to offer continued support. After being burned by several local vendors, we decided to team up and tackle this problem. The result is an astonishing array of "firsts" offered by HID Canada. Here is a small sampling:

We get a lot of questions about our value versus "cheap" kits from the U.S. and otherwise...

Here are a few things to keep in mind (from this page: http://hidcanada.com/store/index.php...age=page&id=12)

1. How much does it REALLY cost when imported into Canada? Factor in exchange rate (by your credit card company), shipping, duties/taxes (yes, you will get dinged!). Got it? Good. The price should be more, if not similar to ours after your RFD discount(s).
2. What type of ballast are they using? See above, or here: http://hidcanada.com/store/index.php...age=page&id=15
3. What is their warranty policy and more importantly, what does it cost to act upon it? Do they charge you shipping BACK to you? You'll be surprised!
4. Why do we offer three bulbs whereas they offer only two?

You're partially right. The cart is not SSL encrypted but all payments are processed though their respective SSL enabled gateways. We do not store or handle any part of the payment process information.

We weren't going to put in the CSR for SSL until the payment process was moved to our own site, but we've expedited it just for you (Wednesday?). In theory it makes no difference right now since payment and info gateway is at the payment processor, but if you've picked up on it, then others may have as well!
