Anachronox, great story, awesome surprise ending. Too bad, cliffhanger ending with no possible closure due to studio shutting down. :(

Not enough people have played Mark of the Ninja

That game is awesome. Looks so simple (and it can be if you're just trying to breeze through it), but try for high scores and you really find a complex, tight system

It's so good

I mostly plays PC games, so:

Mount & Blade:Warband (Imagine Total war series FPS style, with hundreds and maybe a thousand soldiers in the battlefield and you are right in the middle of it)
The Guild 2 (Medieval family dynasty sand box game. The initial release was buggy as hell but everything has be fixed. And you can have kids and career to be a criminal. Total time sink)

Nothing new for me imho... but some old stuff that people should really try out

Dreamcast: Test Drive Lemans (perfect blend of arcade/sim imho)
PS2: Front Mission 4 (sold like crap, but I really enjoyed it)
PC: Jagged Alliance 2 Gold (super old and still just as awesome as the day I played it)
Xbox1: The Red Star (awesome arcade game, it's on PS2 as well)

Stuff I like on current gen PS3/360 are the popular stuff, deadspace/halo/demon soul/etc.

Monster Hunter

Big in Japan and Asia, fairly low-key in North America. Orginally I thought it was due to the difficulty, but Demon/Dark Souls seems to have taken to these shores fine, and really Monster Hunter deserves whatever success it gets - one of THE best franchises Capcom has built or nurtured, imo.
