+1 interested to hear if anyone has any recommendations on make/model + place to get one at a good price as I'm looking also. Although I'm thinking $300 may be a bit low for an HD camcorder....
Also interested to hear people's opinions on HDD based vs Flash based. I was pretty set on HDD but seems you can save a bit of money by sticking to Flash based (even with the cost of the SD card).
Cheers

i have a sony 80Gb model (10X optical) and a friend has the 240Gb model 15X i think.
the main difference would be that with a flash card you would need to be downloading at a more frequent interval.
I bought it for 900 taxes in about mid last yr. i think youre very unrealistic if you think you can buy anything for $300!

I just listed a Flip Mino HD camcorder on the BST Electronics. It's the 4gb 1 hour recording time model. Super portable, can fit in your jeans.
Let me know if you're interested.
