High gain antenna for WRT54GL
I got the WRT54GL but the signal quality i'm getting is 60%
while the computer that is connected to the router is getting 7mbps d/l, my other computer connected wirelessly is only getting 2.5mbps d/l max, same as my laptop.
What can I do to improve the speed?
i've been reading up on antennas and might've found a cheap solution on ebay

anybody got experience with something like this?

Have you tried one of the 3rd party firmwares which allow you to up the power output?

i'm using the Tomato firmware
but I haven't tried upping the power. I'm going to look into that, but what about this antenna?

Linksys HGA7T - High Gain Antenna Kit
I don't know if the product OP is asking about is good or not, all I can tell is that
I am using DD-WRT and the Linksys HGA7T - High Gain Antenna Kit.

It did improve my signal and solved the microwave problem - every time it was used I'd loose the signal.
With this high gain kit I've never lost the signal anymore - it does go down a little from 48-54kbps to 24-36kbps when microwave is in use but I am still connected.

that's pretty pricey though compared to those ebay ones...
but did you see a significant gain when you run online speed tests? ie. dslreport
thx!
