High School in Scarborough is the best?
My cousin's in Grade 8 and high school registration is coming up soon.
We're looking at:
- R.H. King Academy
- Albert Campbell CI
- Wilfrid Laurier CI
Are these the best schools in Scarborough? Are there better schools? Input from current students or alumni would be especially appreciated.

Try a six-figure salary that starts with a "3" (that would be annually)

seems kind of weird that the 3 that you are mentioning are in pretty different areas.. i remember when i was going to highschool from elementary school that you had a set highschool u had to go to and u had to come up with a good reason why u wanted to go to a different one.. guess things have changed?

I would choose the school that has the most variety. I'm in an art program in college and the kids that went to an artsy highschool are steps ahead of me.. My art class in highschool was a joke, just an easy credit.. Give him options (art, sports, shop class, etc.) so he can explore and see what he wants to pursue later on in life...
the basics like English, Math, and Science are prolly the same everywhere...

Yes, you are still assigned to a designated home high school. However, I believe someone is able to attend a high school that is not their home high school if they are applying to be in a specialized program like TOPS at Marc Garneau, IB at Weston CI and Vic Park, Arts at Etobicoke and Earl Haig, athletics at Birchmount and Northview or maybe because of residency restrictions like Earl Haig.

The trick is to go to a good school for the first 2 years and transfer to the easiest ghetto school out there while and do supplementary courses for the maths + science (if you're doing that)
That way, marks are high but you get all the knowledge.

It's quite irrelevant which high school you attend.

RH king is even in the consideration versus those two? The stabbings have that much allure?
I went to laurier for a year, its decent, I went to DMCI before that which was a way better school. My cuzins went to laurier, they all went/will goto good unis.
But like I remember when I was at laurier only 3-5 of us wrote the euclid. While I think like 40-60 ppl at DMCI did.
I would say Albert Campelll if you like the environment is much better academically than the other 2.

+1.
actually if you try to go to a good high school, your actually risking the chance of getting harder teachers because logically a good school with smarter kids will put pressure on teachers to be harder.
but EVERYONE here knows highschool is a joke.
but no who ever told you laurier is a good is stupid. actually whoever told you there are good public schools in scarborough for that matter.

That's true, Team 188 is pretty good at what they do and they have great mentors too. The Programming Enrichment Group at Woburn is one of the top programming clubs across the country. Some of the team members there right now are easily the best in their age group.

Don't forget that spots are given to student's that live in the area first. So you may not get in to a school that is outside of your area.
