Hire engineer to measure and draw a floor plan?

Has anyone ever hired an engineer to measure and draw a CAD floor plan for their property? I'm looking to do this for a condo unit, so only 1 floor and not a lot of sq footage to cover. How much would it cost? Any experiences and/or recommendations? Thanks.

You don't need an engineer for that. A draftsperson or interior designer should be able to do that for you at a much reduced cost.

Or you could figure out how to use a drawing program and do it yourself, at even less cost... SketchUp is free. Tape measures are cheap. Grid paper is cheap

just sketch it on graph paper with all dimensions, then get to a drafting firm to have it transferred to CAD, I think their hourly rate is $60 which is way cheaper than my fee. I make plans for my own house, only because I don't need to hire anyone else.
