Hiring local students?
Anyone know a good resource to find students willing to work for a few months or part time?

Does anyone know of gov't "incentive" programs to hire students? I recall many moons ago in the corporate world that our company got 50% of the hourly rate back from the gov't for hiring a student?

I need to hire a web developer for a pet project of mine. The Canadian job bank isn't really much use because it's mainly for manual labour type positions.

You can post summer job listings free at Working.com:

Depends on the job, but you could also try Craigslist._______________

Jun 16th, 2006 11:47 AM #10I know of a program that pays for the student while they do their summer employment with a company. PLease PM if you want more information. I just need to know which area the employer is located.

At the college I went to you could contact there job services department and they would post the position on their website and the bulletin board in the hallway. There were usually 100+ job offers up at any given time.

Where are you located? I think canada.com has a sub-site that has student jobs posted. Another idea is just to go to a local high school and talk to the guidance office.
