Hit&Run court case--HELP!!!
My dad went to court on September 8, 2009, (he's not the defendent)after he went in for a while, the prosecutor shook his hand and say you can leave now. So my dad left, until this day there's no letter or anything to inform us of the status of the case. We went to City Hall and ask them but they have no record of the case, is there any where we can check the status of the case cause my dad need to file a claim for insurance company. I heard there something like a court transcript or can i go into traffic services and ask them?

I would contact the courthouse. They should have record of it and can give a status. They also carry the transcripts.

Was your dad the victim of the hit and run?? The court file cannot just disappear. If you have the name of the prosecutor, contact them. Otherwise what's the issue if your dad is just a witness? Curiosity?
