This burger establishment is located at the intersection of Yonge/St.Clair and has been hyped up quite a bit on CH and local blogs so I had to try it out for myself.
They are known for their Burger Priest like burgers and out of this world shakes (especially their nutella and sea salt flavoured one).
In any event popped by on a Saturday late afternoon and it was half full. Ordered the double cheeseburger and nutella shake and my buddy had a jr. cheeseburger and also a nutella shake. Total price $28 bucks! That's without fries for either one of us. Geezus Murphy.
Anyhow I figured this should taste amazing for the price and the positive reviews on CH.
Shake was ready in like 5 mins and our burgers arrived another 10 minutes later which isn't too bad compared to the 30 min wait at Burger Priest. Anyhow go to take the first bite of my burger and I swear all I tasted was pure salt!! WTF was my reaction. I thought it was just my burger and that perhaps the cook wasn't paying attention but when I asked my buddy how he's tasted he said it was just as salty.
The nutella shake did make up for it as it was thick and creamy but all in all no way would I recommend Holy Chuck's to anyone. Over priced, Over Hyped.

After eating here once, I'll never be back. The burger was so greasy it made me feel sick, and I also found 3 small chunks of bone in the burger, a real turn off.

Thanks for the feedback on their burgers. I was kinda excited to try it out but now I won't go out of my way. If i'm in the area, I may try it out but now I wont make a special trip

It certainly looks good.
I don't think the price is too crazy - all of these gourmet burgers are $10+, you got 2 and took shakes. Thats $24 something before tax, or about $12/person for a burger and a shake - fairly normal.
Obviously different people have different tastes, I prefer saltier taste. Holy Chuck is certainly still on my radar_______________

I tried holy chuck's a couple weeks ago for the first time. I thought it was decent, not amazing though. I had the 3 farmer's daughters or something like that and it was mad greeeaaasy! But the patties themselves tasted really tender and juicy. I'll give them another chance - to be honest, part of it might've been the bacon. I realized afterwards that I don't really like bacon on my burgers. Will give it another chance - the people who sat beside me there said they've been 5 times in the past couple months and its their favourite burger joint.

Don't listen to these haters, the place is great and I crave their shakes. If you've had Stockyards / BP, then you know what you're getting (griddle smashed burger). In my opinion they're all the same, very minor variation between them. Certainly not to the degree of variation that many people portray. They have more selection and more options regarding burger configurations at Holy Chuck if that's what you're into.

I went there once and thought the burger was really heavy. I prefer BP's burgers but funnily enough I always get the vegetarian burger when I go to BP, which I think is awesome.

Just tried this today since I was in the area and hungry. The first bite was awesome because I really noticed how soft and juicy the burger was. But as I continued on I noticed it did have a significant amount of salty and it was really greasy. I didn't feel too great after. For some odd reason I do see myself coming back because the burger was quite soft which I really liked, but this is a place you only go to once a month max. Prior to going here, my body fat was 10%, I believe after consuming that burger it shot up to 15%

If anyone wants to try it out for themselves they are featured on Rdeals.ca right now. $10 for $20. Worth giving a shot just for the milk shakes alone!
