Get Elac Debut speakers. You can't do better for the money. Your amp will handle them well.

recently picked up a pair of Kanto YU6 active bookshelfs driven via pi3 (kodi) > xbone (youtube/spotify) > YU6 (optical/bluetooth/rca/3.5mm) + (vintage)sunfire true sub sig & I was genuinely & pleasantly surprised. made for a decent TV speaker & an even more than decent (solid mid-fi IMHO) speakers for music.

got it for $340@sale (from $499) & for the money, I'm very impressed as to me, its punching way above its weight. without the need for an external amp, hook up was super simple & even BT streaming is good for casual listening - havent tried as yet but I'm thinking chromecast audio will be much better. for sure, I'm listening to spotify a lot more since the advent of the kanto's.

bonus - Kanto is a canadian company based in Coquitlam BC with (I hear) an excellent CS + support. something to think about for sure Smiling Face With Sunglasses
