[Home Depot] Chamberlain B750C belt drive garage door opener with MyQ built in - $249.00 | PM at Lowe's for $224.1 + tax

Hi everyone,

First time posting, so hopefully I'm doing this right.

Was looking for a new garage door opener and found this one on sale at Home Depot. Good reviews for the B750C model, which has a belt drive system that is more quiet than the old chain models. Also has MyQ feature built in for control via their smartphone app.

I've seen this garage door opener on sale for $249 in the past. I was able to get PM at Lowe's for an extra 10% off - so about $150 saved all in after tax.

Isn't belt drive better than chain drive?

How quite? Our current t garage is loud and I'm going to change the door soon. Other than being quite, no other benefits?

I have an older belt drive and compared to my old chain drive at another house, it's around 50% quieter.

Is anyone else not bothered by the number of repeated typos in this thread? Sorry but it's not that hard to spell "quiet".

Also OP, this is a decent price. I think I will pick one up after work today.

Thanks OP, picked one up this morning. Will definitely be an upgrade from the 20 year old craftsman chain drive.

Also, if you're PMing Lowe's remember they recently changed their policy - you must ask specifically for them to beat the price (by 10%) otherwise they will only match it.

If I'm replacing a chain drive unit ,
can I just swap the unit and belt connection on the door and not worry about changing the rails etc?
