Also received a cheque today. Amount of the cheque is $118.65, as expected.

I received my cheque it says Void after 12/7/2017 which is a data prior to they sent the check. May be the format is month/date/year ?

Isn't there also a date the cheque was written? It should be within the last 4 months. You should be able to verify the format from that.

as coolintheshade mentioned, it is the format of DDMM but as per that it's already void

So is your "payable date" before July 12?

The formats are different for each date it seems.
Your cheque can't expire before it was printed.
I guess the different date formats were an oversight by the claims admin.
Either way, you're good.

EDIT:
By the way, my cheque expiry is the same as yours and it was cashed no problem a few weeks ago.

I've read conflicting reports that claim the date and other elements of a cheque except for the amount are often unimportant. If you deposit a cheque, there's a good chance it will clear no problem until a dispute is made.

My wife and I each filed. I received my cheque a few weeks ago, My wife has still not received anything. Is anyone else still waiting?
