I was having the exact same issue, so I bought a $1400 dollar cable and it solved all my problems

I've had some problems here and there with Amazon Basics HDMI cables. I heard they were good for 4K/HDR so when I got my 4K stuff I bought a bunch, mostly OK but not perfect. Of course I cannot 100% prove there isn't some occasional screwup with my devices, TV, PS4, Xbox, but I'm pretty sure it's the cables.

Most of my dollar store cables work fine on my 4k 4:4:4 TV at 60hz

Dollarama $4 HDMIs are a favorite in a pinch. Otherwise I order in bulk for cheaper.

I had one that was cheap and my apple tv kept flickering. I read online and they said a faster cable would be the fix. This cable solved my issue and everything works fine now.

Sometimes the cheap ones work depends if you run into issues

This statement was true 3+ years ago.

Now, 4:4:4 4k 60 Hz signal with uncompressed audio, it need a compatible cable.

It does not need to be expensive, just make sure it's HDMI premium (certified by the HDMI alliance) like the Monoprice.

The image quality won't be better, but you risk getting intermittent black screen and other problem without one.

You people are such amateurs. Unless they're Monster-brand, 100% oxygen-free copper with linear PVC you're just getting ripped off at $2200.

Kleftiko wrote: Even the similarly marketed cable at Walmart for $12 bucks had to be returned because they caused several issues and the display would turn off when using it with my X1X on a Sony 65X930e. 90% of the people reading are likely just watching their Shaw/Bell boxes and streaming Netflix and have no idea about the higher demands of more powerful devices and tv's.
To be fair, those people are probably also waiting for native 4k content to become 1) more widespread and 2) actually necessary...

... Or they're like me and are scared video 4k is going to 1) overwhelm the internet's bandwidth and 2) give telcos yet another thing to point at as they raise rates and 3) are sleepy, g'night.

Man I am getting sick of these hostile attitudes on RFD towards peoples comments. The guy did mention correct spec in his comment and he is 100% correct. As long as your cable is the correct spec to carry the digital bandwidth then everything else is marketing.

There is no need to attack him and show such aggressive attitude towards one person comment.

Will test one on a PS4 Pro/Xbox1X/Nvidia Shield to see if they can actually hold up to those specs without any display issues. If so then these are a great deal.

OP, have you tested the cables with the mentioned equipment?
