I had to screw together 2 hockey pucks to get to the jack point on my 2017 crv. Just gives it a few more inches so I can put the jack stands in place

I got mine from Stockyard location and just cancelled my pick up order at MISSISSAUGA BRITANNIA. Get one if you need it.

Lol I wonder does my 2012 crv and your 2017 have the same clearance. If they do then I might just have to use this idea to change them next season.

Darn, I have to drive 100km to get one but I think this is an awesome price. I don't think I've seen a 3 TON selling for less than $78 + you get jack stands and creeper.

Since it's not low profile, can anyone chime in how well this works on 8th generation honda civic? They have quite low fronts. Would this fit?
I bought this last year for my 06 civic coupe,
It fits under the front jack point with room to spare. Have already done tons of work on my car with it, its great.

i think the 2017 model year has a inch or 2 more ground clearance. the front jack point is ok but the 2017 crv's rear jackpoint is the towhook and thats very high up. i got the heavy weight pucks from canadian tire for a few bucks. u can see the groove the towhook has made in the puck but im only lifting it briefly until i can get the jack stands in place. i wouldnt do this every day but i only change my tires twice a year.

Anyone have issues with the release mechanism being very stiff ? So much that you need a large amount of force to turn it which causes an abrupt drop.

it seems to catch a little. you need to turn it firmly and slowly so it doesnt drop.

How does this compare to the Arcan one from Costco?
The Arcan from Costco is a lot stronger and lifts higher. Also significantly heavier.

Partsource has their 2-ton kit (floor jack, stands, chocs) for $39.99 this week (Torin Big Red brand).

I am not sure if Canadian Tire carries this particular kit, but if they do, it would be worth trying to price-match (to get additional 10% in CT money) and then pay with CT gift cards (bought at 10% off from Rexall this week).

Make sure you check the model/sku#'s, I saw the $98 in the store (for some reason not online) which only has a lift height of 15" or so. The Model # T83000JC | Store SKU # 1000837733 for $78 lift height is 18", which you'll need if you're trying to lift a SUV/minivan.

I kept checking online and suddenly 1 popped up in stock in Vancouver at Terminal Ave, so I bought last night and picked up this morning. Loaded it into my coupe and haven't opened it to see if it was a return. I did order the Costco Arcan 3-ton jack (backordered), wondering if I should return that now as I needed jackstands anyways, just swapping out winter sets on my hatchback and Sienna.
