[Home Depot] Leatherman Wave Plus $64.50 YMMV

Saw this at my local Home Depot (Langley, BC) in the tool aisle clearance section. About 10 or so where in-stock last night. Not sure if this is a good deal or not - let me know!

This is crazy good...It never goes 50%.
And this is their most popular leatherman model for a long time. Everyday Carry people praises this.

That's a pretty awesome deal. I think used ones go for $50-$60.

I'm waiting for an on sale wave + before I get too frustrated to pull the trigger on the free 4.

Would Home Depots price guarantee work for other HD locations, I've never priced matched here?

If they feel like it. Just got to try and see. I have done it a few time and other times they have said no.

It's a no for the price match at the Hamilton location as well.

This is my everyday carry for work as well. One of the best parts is the one handed knife open and close (for 2 of 3). Knives locks open as well.

I've got a PST II that I'm happy with, but do you have any tips for maintenance? I literally haven't done anything with it for a decade, so now it borderline requires another leatherman to open it!

Anyway to check stock especially in BC? Solid tool for the price. I have a Charge TTi that is my go to at home, with a cheap Squirt ps4 for work and a cheap gerber in the vehicle. Wouldn't mind getting this to be the vehicle one that gets abused more etc.

I hear you, I’m the same way. Mine could use a cleaning. My knives are still a piece of cake to open, maybe because I use them all the time? The less used tools like the bottle opener will tear off my finger nail if I try and open it.

Give it a soak in mineral oil, should loosen it up.

Soak in mineral oil. If that doesn't help, send it to Leatherman for service.

This is one of the all time great multitools. The new Plus model adds replaceable wire cutters and they finally ditched the crappy velcro sheaths.

Can someone post a receipt for a PM attempt? Preferably from a BC store.
-Read store exceptions before combining discounts with cash back sites
-HomeDepot clearance prices are not shown on stocktrack or HD.ca
-There is a difference between NEED (necessities) and WANT (desires). The word NEED is over-used on RFD and in general.
