[Home Depot] MAKITA 18V Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit with 2 Batteries & Charger - $188

I think this is a good deal, but I don't know my drills and motors and brushless-this, compact-that very well. But according to triple camel, lowest this has ever gone on Amazon is $199.

EDIT: Better deal this Friday!

Oh crap - I was sure I'd checked the HD BF flyer but apparently not!

Team Blue is built tough.
Guess which brand of impact/drill drivers that HD Rents out?
They take abuse.

Agree with this. Mine have dropped off roofs, ladders and scaffolding I don't know how many times over the last 7-8 years and although they look like they've been used on the front-lines in WWII they work as well as when they were new every single day. I must have gone over 12 or so batteries over the years (I keep 6 good ones at all times).
Not many guys on job sites can claim they've used the same tools every day for that long.

I didn't even think of that - I ordered it online today, but also just called to cancel that order today. I assumed I'd just be able to wake up early Friday morning and order it online at $158?

I noticed Makita tools don't get a lot of attention here. I guess they just don't go on sale very often. But at the same time, the rigid brushless drills are the same price during BF.

Surely Brushless Ridgid is better than brushed Makita for the same price?

Some people are very loyal to a brand that they can't see that. I have both rigid and Makita tools because I have a problem with commitment and I would recommend either brand. It all comes down to to price.
