[Home Depot] Milwaukee m18 Rocket light tower clearance $248 YMMV

Picked up this m18 rocket light tower on clearance at HD in Ancaster today. Had my eye on this for a while but wouldn’t pull the trigger at $499, happened to see it yellow tagged in Ancaster today when I randomly stopped in. They had 3-4 more units. Very YMMV. , haven’t seen this unit on deep clearance like this elsewhere.

Is this light really worth it for 448 bucks vs $200 husky one?

At $499 I doubt its worth it over the husky, but at $247 it definitely is if you have m18 tools and batteries. The built in charger makes it worth it alone for m18 tool owners

First time in there as I was on my way home from London and literally just stopped in randomly, but i was certainly impressed. I like the billy Bishop one near Yorkdale and the one in Leaside. They usually have good yellow tagged tools.

If you are with Team Red this might be a good investment.
It's great to see how the LED technology has evolved to offer us these portable cordless offerings.
For a non professional like myself $3-$500+ for any light is exorbitantly high.
Years ago I bought my 2 x halogen work light for about $40. It's bulky and completely inefficient by today's standards but I think I've used it maybe 3 times? It'll take some time but the prices on the LED work lights will eventually come down to more affordable DIY prices.

Looks like the Milwaukee is 3000 lumens. Was thinking of getting this https://www.ihlcanada.com/duradrive-20- ... ight-18319 for 1440 lumens at $80 on sale.

Unfortunately for me, $250 is still expensive for a light (although I'm Team Red).

This is a common 4-5 piece tripod arrangement. You have to pop out the tripod, assemble the T-bar, screw on the 2 heads, attach the handle, plug in the extension cord and plug in the 120v.
So this is where beauty of the expensive lights shine.
Pop it out, aim the head.

I don’t have one but I have used it. Daylight inside is the only way to describe it. I am team TTI (Ryobi, Ridgid, Milwaukee) as I was both a Ryobi Japan employee and a TTI employee in Canada many moons ago. My old Ryobi tools are amazing before they went exclusive to Depot and starting splitting the lineup.
