In reply to those asking if anyone has used these saws, I've had the 18" for a year and can give some feedback. As someone else has already mentioned, the tool less chain tightener doesn't hold very well. If all you are doing is minor brush cutting this won't be a problem. But if you are planning on heavy use like firewood, unscrew the black tightening knob and chuck it in the trash, it just doesn't grip the bar enough. Replace it with a proper hex nut and heavy washer and you might stand a chance of completing a truck load ot two. What happens is the chain adjustment wheel moves a block of steel with a tiny pin that pokes into and moves the bar. If you jam the bar into a cut and even slightly bend it side to side, you'll bust off the pin and you're done for the day.
A good procedure to follow when adjusting chain slack is use the wheel to get the tension where you want it, tighten the nut, then back off the wheel a few turns. If HD has those pins available as spare parts, buy at least 1 and make sure it's in the truck, they are fairly easy to change.
Other than that it's a decent and reasonably powerful saw for the money, but definitely not in the Husky/Stihl league.
