Home made shaving cream

I used to use the RE9 Advanced for Men Shave Gel by Arbonne but it ran out.
I don't want to break the bank, and buy an expensive product for shaving. I usually go to the store and get a shaving foam or gel but I don't feel the blades of my shaver glides that nicely than with the RE9. Besides the foam dries up fast.
I use a wet and dry electric shaver.

I read some time ago some people would prefer hair conditioner.
What are some suggestions?

You use shave foam/gel when using an electric shaver?

I shave with a safety razor and for a cheap shave product I would recommend Nivea Shave Cream (not the canned stuff).

Not the OP, but of course!

I've been using Panasonic wet/dry shavers since the '90s... I've tried double-edged, but went back to the wet/dry in order to get a shave just as close as double-edged but vastly more comfortable!

Just one example:
