Does it say somewhere if you got the 100$ rebate from two years ago if you would still qualify ?

For it being almost free I wouldn't hesitate on buying it. I have this unit and it's been great. Link with google home and you'll never have to touch it again. Geofencing is also a good feature. It doesn't "learn" like the other more expensive units but it does the job. If you don't like it just sell it for profit after you get the rebate.fudge_u wrote: ↑Jan 18th, 2018 2:23 amThrough the Energy Efficiency Alberta program, there's a $100 rebate that can be claimed. In the end, you only pay GST on the thermostat, which is $5. Great deal for Albertans. Just don't know if it's a good thermostat. If you PM at Lowes, you end up making $5... lol.

Doh! prices have changed since last night. Lowes is back to regular price ($179) and even HD has upped their price to $99.CheapWinnipeger wrote: ↑Jan 18th, 2018 8:11 amI believe that HD and Lowes are both at $89.99. Also, both have $10 off coupons for signing up for mailing list. After the $75 rebate, that's like $5.
HD has no online inventory and most stores in Winnipeg are out of stock.
Lowes is supposed to have inventory and free shipping.

The Honeywell website still has the old date too, which is a little concerning.

Matching against best buy is still doable for today.CheapWinnipeger wrote: ↑Jan 18th, 2018 9:12 amDoh! prices have changed since last night. Lowes is back to regular price ($179) and even HD has upped their price to $99.
Lowe's policy is to not accept their $10 coupons with a PM, so the best you'll get from them now is $99 - $9.90 PM ($89.10). Unless you get an associate who doesn't know about that policy. (if you're really luck, you might be able to add $11 and then use their $25 off of $100 coupon, but again, you're not supposed to be able to use that with a PM)
HD is better by 10 cents. $99 - $10 coupon ($89).
Both still have free shipping, but that's moot for HD who doesn't have any online inventory.
