Very nice! Better deal than NCIX. Even though they have the Samsung F1 for this price, I prefer the Seagates (not as fast or quiet, but at least they're reliable).
Edit: Wow, SE16 640GB for under $70! Sure, it's only a few bucks cheaper, but that's a milestone.

Hot- Anitec- Seagate 7200.11 1TB HDD $119.99
Hi guys, one of Anitec's new weekly sales items is the Seagate 7200.11 1TB HDD for $120. Seems like a very good price.
http://www.anitec.ca/sale/zyvkxz9y1n/15696/

It is not even a limited quantity special, so you should be able to PM with NCIX if desired.
Regards,
Fenian

Great price. i might pull the trigger.
How does one PM with an online purchase?
Im in Toronto, so shipping might negate the savings.
I'd like to PM with either Infonec or NCIX.

I think the guy who did that review proved what we've all been thinking, cache is not all that important. For my personal use I have a 500 & 640 WD /w AAM. Regardless of performance since they are very similar, AAM seals the deal for me and also lets me sleep at night with the computer on.
Back on topic, Great price! The 1TB WD Caviar Black is nowhere near this price.

That guy was me.
Read the rest of the thread, but here's the gist of it: If you want to run RAID, get the 7200.11s. Otherwise, get the SE16, especially if you want AAM. The 7200.11 640GB drives seem to have performance problems (not staggering problems, just makes it fall behind the SE16) when run in AHCI mode.

I just called Canada Computer for PM, but found out that they have this exact item on sell for $125.99. Its better than Anitec if you factor in the shipping cost ($14.99) which will be ~$130.

No need to review them. The Cavar Black kills the 7200.11, as it uses less platters. The Caviar GP spins at a little over 5400 RPM (despite the "variable" advertising), so it is by far the slowest. Caviar GP = storage only, lowest power consumption, slowest. 7200.11 = cheapest, but uses most power. Samsung F1 = also cheapest, but has reliability problems. Caviar Black = fastest, second-lowest power consumption 1TB drive, but most expensive by far.
