Why do you have to go through Bill if you work for RBC? Just walk into any dealer with your ID and ask for the plan.

I got the Bell SFU student plan, even though I am a UBC student. I took a copy of the UBC flyer to a bell booth. They didn't offer the UBC plan there, only the SFU, but since I had the flyer and the UBC card, he gave me the SFU plan, as it is the same thing, except it also has the Bell to Bell free calling.
Note, you can sign up for several of these plans. Ie you can signup one for yourself, and someone else in your family (so 2 of these plans, 2 phones, 2 numbers). Not sure if you can do it outside of family.

Plans only available til Sept 30th.
Its not same as Bell, but there are other options including student plans with text/email and browsing

I have the Bell $17.30 plan through work. It is 17.30 plus 7.70 system access, plus taxes = grand total of $28 per month.
What I get: 300 mins per month, call display, nights/weekends, message centre, 3 way calling, detail billing, call forwarding, call waiting. It was a 3 year plan & I've been on it almost a year, I think the phone I chose cost me only $25.
I had pay as you go Rogers before I got this phone.
I tried to get the same deal as Bell was offering through Telus, but they would not match it.
Only thing I worry about is if the phone dies within the three years. Then what? It seems that Telus gives their customers free new phones every year or two years? Some of my family members seem to be getting new phones from Telus regularly.

Sabzevarian: Which Bell booth did you goto? I called customer service trying to get the SFU plan as a UBC student and it did not work. They said that I would need a reference of somebody's phone number that is a UBC student and got the SFU plan before they will match it for me. I will try to goto the bell booth you went to and see if I can get anything done there.

Still available?
Does anyone know if this plan, or a similar one, is still available?
