These are $639 in-store if you have a local Costco. By the way, I will double check on my next trip, but I am pretty sure the literature on their camera case said that the lenses were IS.

If the lens from Staples is a IS lens, than that is the better deal.

yeah, but if you tack on a 2 dollar item to make it $450 and use 3 x $20 coupons...
wouldn't a non is lens still be worth the body?
and sell that lens for like $40.
get a used 50mm for like $80
so in the end.... smells like a steal...
