How did you get Extreme for the price of Lite for one year? I was only offered 6 month by customer service. Did you go through the rentention department?

it is express... not extreme...

well.... i call to say i am not happy about the 25G Cap of lite... i ask them if any thing they can do for that.. they told me they can offer Express for price of lite for one year.. i just said fine, i take it... i wanted a three months free of extreme/express again... :p

it is normal CSR... i only use retention for rogers wireless... i never tried it with internet....

I didn't realize you can get some free months out of Rogers even if you are an existing customer..I guess its similar to their wireless dept, where you can call in and haggle a bit for some extras..

btw, for those that didn't get the router bundle from FS during the promo..CC has a similar promo on now..

Just got off the phone with Rogers CS. I told them that I'm not happy with the speed on my Rogers Lite service and was wondering if they have any promotion on faster service for $35. He told me that they have a "$10 off for 12 months off Internet Express or Extreme" promotion. I think the key to get this promotion is that you have to be on Lite/Express and can't be on any promotion at the time you call in order to get the discount for Express/Extreme service. If you are already on Extreme, they might not offer you this promotion because the purpose of this offer is to get people to try their higher services. I just got off 3 month free extreme promotion last month and now I got this. I can't be more happier! So no, you don't have to wait 90 days to get another promotion. I think it all depends who you talk to.

If you don't mind losing 3 days of free Extreme service than I would suggest you to downgrade to Lite starting on your next billing cycle (Dec 18) and ask them to remove that 3 month free Extreme promotion off your account. You have to do these by the last day of your current billing cycle (Dec 17). The key for you is to be on Lite and with no promotion attached to your account starting your next billing cycle.

Keep in mind, while this promotion is still running - you might not be able to qualify for the $99 credit returned to your account! Please verify the text on the box and your eligibility.

From what I know so far, all the newer boxes are assigned for new customers only. Don't quote me on this, but I believe that this deal might be popping up again very soon for those that missed out. If you're looking to get the bundle at Canada Computers - I cannot stress enough to verify your eligibility on the box text. You most likely will not be given a refund there if you mess up.

I also tried to get Lite for 19 dollars as advertised on their rogers website.. after a couple of few calls, it was a no go..it is only valid for new customers... i also tried to get 3 months free of any service but to no avail too...hehe

Me too, i just got off of the 3 months free of extreme. I called to downgrade to Lite first and then the next day i called to try and get any promotion as i mentionned above... and they told me about the one year promotion of express for the price of Lite for one year which i took.... hehe

if anybody manages to get other promotion let us know....

I am glad i dont have to pay that stupid monthly rental fee for modem anymore...

Is there a way to find out if the cost of modem credit can still be given by Rogers? Maybe call the Fulfillment dept?
