That's pretty decent, 2.5% cash back on SDM gift card, then can use SDM gc to buy other gcs
I can only see $50 and $100 SDM gcs for 1% cash back. Where do you see the 2.5% cash back?

These gift cards usually go on sale for a 20% off, just need to wait to get the deal

you can get pizza pizza cheaper at costco.
Don't need to buy gift cards. Just ordered pizza directly at Costco.

I just read the terms and conditions. Doesn't say anything about paying with gift cards and not receiving full cash back.
Do gift certificates qualify for Cash Back rewards?
Ebates Canada cannot give Cash Back for the portion of a purchase that is made with gift cards or certificates. We can, however, give Cash Back on select gift cards purchased at stores via Ebates Canada.

This is directly from the ebates site. I tried to make a gc purchase from Amazon and I didn't get the CB. Seems to be the case for BB according to a previous poster on this thread too.

Pretty sure you cannot use gift cards to buy other gift cards.

2.5% back for groceries (Loblaws, Sobeys) is better than CardSwap. They still don't take Amex though.

Well, this is interesting. It looks like Ebates now gives you money back when you purchase gift cards. This includes Petro-Canada and Esso (2% each). May not be the best deal in the world, but something is better than nothing.

that's good to know. if you can order your gift cards ahead of time for a purchase you can "double dip" by going through ebates or any other cash back site to order your item

Well, it isn't all retailers, but still a decent selection.

It looks to me like I can buy a No Frills gift card, get 2.5% back, and using Paypal I can use American Express to pay for it. Which would mean that I can reach minimum spending requirements for various cards a whole lot faster. I've been trying to figure out a No Frills Amex workaround for ages, might this be it?

I've used their gc to buy other gift cards before, unless they have changed it and I wouldn't know about
